Product News

POK®’s Product development department is always ready to take on great challenges to satisfy our customers from all sectors of activity. With this in mind, POK has designed and developed a new range of bronze monitors.

This new range has been developed for marine fire fighting and more particularly for ships. These monitors adapt perfectly to hostile environments, such as the maritime or petrochemical environment, which require highly resistant and powerful equipment.

Indeed, they have the appropriate flow rates and reach to fight fires in difficult conditions. Moreover, they are made of bronze, an alloy perfectly adapted to the marine environment.

This range of monitors is declined in 4 versions :

  • DN200 equipped with a branchpipe without dispersion claw for straight stream water diffusion
  • DN200 equipped with a branchpipe with dispersion claw for water diffusion in straight or diffused stream
  • DN200 with dual flow diffuser for straight stream water or foam diffusion
  • DN200 equipped with a dual flow diffuser and adjustable streams for water or foam diffusion in straight or diffused streams

These systems have a flow rate of 1,200m3/hour or 20,000L/min in water and can reach 300m3/hour or 3,000L/min in foam.

This range is ABS (Type Approval) certified, thanks to its flow/pressure capacities. The latter meet all the requirements of the EX-FIFI 1 range of the ABS standard. Very few manufacturers can avail themselves of this certification, which is particularly difficult to obtain.

The main advantage of these monitors is the inlet pressure: only 10 bar for a range up to 140 meters. In order to obtain these results, these innovations required two years of work, in particular in computer simulation in order to be operational with a pressure of only 10 bar whereas the products of the competition require much more pressure to obtain similar results.

Although designed for fighting fires at sea, this device can also be located and used at the seaside. Its bronze design is perfectly adapted to the maritime environment.
