|Discovering professional environment|
On March 29th, 2018 was held the 7th edition of the JDNJ (National Youth Day). This day connects young people and businesses through site visits in all sectors of the economy. This event is an opportunity for young people to discover and understand the professional environment. It is also an opportunity for companies to create vocations and promote the skills they will need in the future.
It is therefore quite naturally that POK® opened its doors at Paul Langevin Middle School in Romilly-sur-Seine (10). The visitors, students in the 9th grade class, took this visit very seriously. In order to understand the whole company, and with the help of their teachers, a 19-page booklet was created by the students, 8 interviews were conducted, and hundreds of questions were asked about the company, its products and its employees.
What a joy for our teams to discover young people already very involved in their future choices and curious to discover the industrial environment and our company founded in 1976.
At the end of this visit, the students and their teachers produced a special issue of their magazine “Parcours Avenir” retracing the two visit circuits used by the students. Edito, General presentation of the company, Interviews and spotlight on POK products, everything is there! A real journalist’s job done by motivated students.
After the success of this 2018 edition, POK will open its doors again in 2019 to welcome students who we hope will be just as curious and motivated. In the meantime, POK will continue to innovate and perhaps hopes to have the chance to recruit these former students as staff members to whom the visit has given rise to a vocation.
