The turbo pump transfers fluid between two separate points by exploiting the hydraulic energy of a pressurised working fluid. The latter is injected at the turbine inlet, causing it to rotate and, through mechanical coupling, driving the pump impeller. This impeller creates a vacuum at the suction point, allowing the fluid to be transferred to be drawn in, which is then discharged to the destination point. One of the major advantages of this device is the physical separation between the drive fluid (clean) and the pumped fluid (potentially contaminated), thus avoiding any cross-contamination. Suction
