The straight spray can be replaced by an automatic tip transforming the hand nozzle into a nozzle combining multiple spray patterns and a protective waterwall. DESCRIPTION COMBINING STRAIGHT SPRAY AND WATER WALL makes it possible to attack the fire and protect the operator at the same time. Attacking igniting products with a straight spray allows to douse it and extinguish the fire quickly. However, the intense heat released by the fire forces the nozzle holder to remain at a distance limiting the effect of the water spray. The incorporated water shield in the nozzle ensures the protection of the hand nozzle operator against radiant heat and freshens the air, cooling the environment of the nozzle operator. At the same time, the straight spray allows an optimal attack of the fire. The simultaneous spray and screen combination was first mass-produced in Germany more than 100 years ago.
